The original narrow-bodied Thumper, DEMU no. 1001 visits the long-closed Dungerness branch in Kent – then runs to Ashford, Canterbury, Margate and Dover.
This DVD also includes a visit to the depot where today, Hastings Diesels Ltd maintain this historical fleet.

This tour, one of several held each year, goes right down the the nuclear flask loading bay at the end of the Dungerness branch, then an interesting run around east Kent.

Filmed by three cameramen this DVD has a comprehensive coverage of most of the places visited on this day (13th March 2005).

At the end is an extra sequence: A ceremony for driver Mike, held at Tonbridge.
